Amco Educación, S.A.P.I. de C.V. and its subsidiaries (“Amco”) with the address at Av. Vallarta 6503 Interior B 23 y B 24, Ciudad Granja, C.P. 45010, Zapopan, Jalisco, México and its website www.amco.me, is responsible for the use and protection of your personal information. Amco will collect and process your personal information under the principles of legality, consent, information, quality, purpose, proportionality, and responsibility, in accordance with the provisions of the Law, and will take all relevant security measures to protect your data.

Personal Data Protection Department

How will we use your personal data?

The personal data that we collect from you as a School Representative, School Administrator, coordinator, teacher, parent, and/or students (from here on referred to as “User”) will be used on our platforms and tools that Amco makes available in order to ensure the User can take full advantage of the benefits of our learning systems for the following purposes:

  • Amco Support: Through Amco Support, the User will be able to communicate with support personnel to resolve questions and challenges related to the Learning System. Only the client’s contact information is saved so that they can be contacted.

  • Payment for Amco Learning Systems and electronic invoicing: This refers to any application and/or website through which the Users enter to make online payments in order to acquire an Amco Learning System. Likewise, on said platform you can request an electronic invoice. Additionally, the school can consult its payments received. On these sites, only the data of the person making the payment and the name of the student is stored. Banking information is not stored, because it is processed through third-party banking services.

  • Refunds: In the event that the User needs to request a refund, the “Refund Policy” created for this purpose and located at www.amco.me will apply.

  • Web Pages to register for Amco travel and events: This refers to any platform for registering and subscribing for international travel payments where the client and the trip or event in which they are going to participate are identified.

  • Classroom Solution (various versions): Through Classroom Solution and Classroom Solution in its “Student” version (for iOS devices), teachers and students (hereinafter the “Users”) of the school that chooses to contract our products and services have access to the Amco Learning System content through the use of mobile devices within a classroom. In Classroom Solution in all of its versions, information and data are collected from Users in order to be able to effectively and correctly provide the services to each User. When you log in, information is collected that we store in each account and treat it as personal and confidential information.

  • Login Platforms: Through these platforms and/or applications, the User enters their credentials to have access to the different websites or applications that will show information associated with them.

  • School Administration Platforms: Through these platforms, the School Administrator “User” will be able to grant their School’s coordinators, teachers and students access to the platform, and configure the classes in order to assign courses to those who should have access.

  • Digital Content: Through these websites and/or applications, school staff and students will have access to the digital content they have contracted. It is a 100% digital learning platform with immediate feedback and automatic evaluation of students’ learning, in which teachers can see the progress of individual students and groups. The Users receive information through the identification process (first names, last names, and email addresses) for authorization and security purposes.

  • Teacher Evaluations: Platform that evaluates teachers in the planning and execution of their class. When logging in, the User is identified to only show the teachers who belong to their school.

  • Scheduling Appointments: Through this platform, teachers from schools belonging to the Amco system identify themselves and can schedule an online appointment with Amco’s Academic Staff.

  • Streaming Events (Access to audio and video files): Through these platforms, Users can participate in online events organized by Amco; On these platforms, participating Users’ data are saved so that they can join the event.

  • Observations: Through this platform, the User will share their comments and observations about Amco's content and services with Amco. The client's contact information will be saved to send a response or follow-up to their request.

Additionally, we may use your personal data for secondary purposes that are not necessary for the products and/or services requested, such as informing you about new products and services as well as for advertising and marketing purposes. If you do not want your personal data to be used for these secondary purposes, please notify us by sending an email to our Personal Data Protection Department datospersonales@amco.me.

The refusal to use your personal data for these purposes cannot be a reason for us to deny you the services and products you request or contract with us.

What personal data do we collect?

To carry out the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, we may collect the following personal data: full name, email, telephone number, contact details, type of user, name of corresponding school, country; all of which are considered sensitive by Law.

Personal Data Transfer

In order to maintain and fulfill the responsibilities derived from Amco’s relationship with you or any others that are required by law or by a competent authority, Amco will only transfer your personal data in the cases provided by law, and to the controlling companies, affiliates and/or subsidiaries in Mexico and abroad such as Advanced Methods Co, S. de R.L. de C.V., Amco Educación S.A.P.I. de C.V., Amco Global Administration Network, S. de R.L. de C.V., GA Networks, S. de R.L. de C.V., International Education Services, Inc., Amco Honduras, S.A. de C.V., Amco El Salvador, S.A. de C.V., Advanced Methods Costa Rica, Limitada, Amco Andina, Spa., Advanced Methods Centroamérica, S.A., Amco Peru, S.A.C., ADM 90 Educación Dominicana, S.R.L., Admethods Ecuador CIA, LTDA., Admethods Panamá, S.A., Amco Colombia, S.A.S., Create For Life, Inc., y Amco Métodos Avançados De Ensino Ltda.

ARCO Rights

It is important to inform you that you have the right to Access, Rectify, or Cancel the use of your personal data, as well as to Oppose the processing of your data. These rights are known as ARCO Rights. To learn the procedures, requirements, and deadlines for exercising any of the ARCO rights, you must direct your request in the terms established by the Law to Amco’s Personal Data Protection Department.

You can revoke the consent that, where appropriate, you have given us to process your personal data. However, it is important to keep in mind that we cannot in all cases immediately attend to requests to terminate data use, because it is possible we may need to continue processing personal data due to a legal obligation. Likewise, you should consider that revoking your consent may imply that we can no longer continue to provide the service you suggested, or may imply the end of your relationship with us. To learn the procedures, requirements, and terms for the revocation of consent for processing personal data, you must direct the request in the terms established by the Law to Amco’s Personal Data Protection Department.

How can you limit the use or disclosure of your personal information?

You may limit the use or disclosure of your personal data by sending your request in writing to Amco's Personal Data Protection Department at datospersonales@amco.me.

How can you delete your account and any data associated with it?

The user can request the deletion of their account, along with the associated data, in the applications developed by International Education Services or Create for Life, Inc. Once the account is deleted, no member of the Amco Educación S.A.P.I. de C.V. team and/or its affiliates may recover account data. This includes information related to name, last name, email, phone number, username and/or any data related to the applications.You may delete your account by sending your request by email, specifying your name, email address and/or registered cell phone number to Amco's Personal Data Department at the address email datospersonales@amco.me.

Use of tracking technologies on our website

We inform you that we use cookies, web beacons, and/or other technologies on our website in order to monitor your behavior as an internet user and provide you with a better experience while browsing our site.

The personal data that, if applicable, we can obtain from these tracking technologies are the following identifiers: region in which the user is located, type of browser and operating system, and the date and time of the beginning and end of a user's session. This information can, when appropriate, be used to identify you, save your personal preferences to provide you with a better browsing experience, as well as for statistical purposes.

Changes to the Privacy Policy
