In compliance with the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, Amco Educación, S.A.P.I. de C.V. and its subsidiaries (“Amco”), address at Av. Vallarta 6503 Interior B 23 and B 24, Colonia Ciudad Granja, C.P. 45010, Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, and website www.amco.me, is responsible for the use and protection of your personal data. We therefore provide you with this Privacy Policy, in which we inform you of:

  • I. The way Amco will collect and process your personal data under the principles of legality, consent, information, quality, purpose, loyalty, proportionality, and responsibility, and will take all relevant security measures to protect your information.

  • II. The personal data we collect and the options you have as a User to limit the use of your data, as well as the knowledge and procedure for exercising your ARCO rights.

  • III. At Amco, we are committed to protecting the data of all users affiliated with us. To this end:

    • We have unique codes that can consist of digits or QR codes, which vary by school, to protect user accounts.

    • We review our data storage and processing to prevent unauthorized access to our systems.

    • We restrict access to all personal information so that only authorized Amco employees who strictly need such information have access to it. These employees have strict contractual confidentiality obligations, and they can be severely punished if they don't follow them.

  • IV. That Amco, as part of its business activities, will collect personal data from minors, so, in compliance with the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, we inform you that this information will be treated under strict security and confidentiality measures and only with the express consent of their parents, guardians, or legal representatives

What personal data do we collect?

In order to carry out the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and comply with the obligations arising from a legal relationship between Amco and the User, we may collect the following personal data:

  1. Identification data, such as full name, date of birth, and/or Unique Population Registry Code.

  2. Contact details, such as address, telephone number, and/or email address.

  3. Only if you make payments through our website www.amco.me, tax and financial data, such as card and/or bank account information and Federal Taxpayer Registry number.

For what purposes will we use your personal data?

The personal data we collect from you in your capacity as a school representative, school administrator, coordinator, teacher, parent, and/or student (hereinafter the “User”) will be used on our platforms and tools that Amco makes available to the User to take full advantage of the benefits of our learning system for the following purposes:

  • Amco ID: As a unique means of identification so that Amco can keep records of academic history, facilitate updates on academic progress, simplify access to payments and platforms, among others.

  • Amco Support: So that Users can communicate with support staff to resolve doubts and questions related to Amco products and services.

  • Amco System Payment and Electronic Billing: So that Users can make online payments to purchase the various programs that are part of Amco's portfolio, request electronic invoices, and check payments received by the School.

  • Refunds: To enable Users to request refunds in accordance with the “Refund Policy” located at www.amco.me.

  • Classroom Solution (Various versions): To enable Users to access the content of the Amco learning system using mobile devices within a classroom.

  • EVO: For Users to read different books, complete reading quizzes, and create stories using Artificial Intelligence, providing identification data and age range.

  • Login platforms: Through these platforms and/or applications, the User enters their credentials to access the different websites or applications that will show them information associated with the User

  • School Administration Platforms: Through these platforms, the School Administrator User can generate access for their school staff (coordinators, teachers, and students) and configure classrooms to assign the courses to which they should have access.

  • Digital Content:

    Through these websites and/or applications, school staff and students will have access to the digital content they have contracted. It is a 100% digital learning platform with immediate feedback on student learning progress, where teachers can see the progress of their students and groups. Users receive information through the identification process (first and last names and email address) for authorization and security purposes.

  • Teacher Evaluations:

    Platform for evaluating teachers in their lesson planning and delivery.

  • You Can Book Me:

    Through this platform, teachers from schools belonging to the Amco system can identify themselves and schedule an online appointment with Amco academic staff.

  • Streaming Events (Access to audio and video files): Users can participate in online events organized by Amco; on these platforms, participating User data is stored so that they can join the event.

Additionally, we may use your personal data for secondary purposes that are not necessary for the products and/or services requested, such as advertising and marketing purposes. If you do not want your personal data to be used for these secondary purposes, please notify us by sending an email to our Personal Data Protection Department at datospersonales@amco.me.

Refusal to allow the use of your personal data for these purposes will not be a reason for us to deny you the services and products you request or contract with us.

What personal data do we collect?

To carry out the purposes described in this privacy policy, we may collect the following personal data: full name, email address, telephone number, contact details, type of user, school name, country, which are considered sensitive in terms of the Law.

Transfers of personal data.

We inform you that in order to fulfill the necessary purposes for the maintenance and compliance with the obligations arising from the relationship with you or any others that are required by law or by a competent authority, Amco will only transfer your personal data in the cases provided for by law and to the controlling companies, affiliates, and/or subsidiaries in Mexico and abroad, such as Advanced Methods Co, S. de R.L. de C.V., Amco Educación S.A.P.I. de C.V., Amco Global Administration Network, S. de R.L. de C.V., International Education Services, Inc., Amco Honduras, S.A. de C.V., Amco El Salvador, S.A. de C.V., Advanced Methods Costa Rica, Limitada, Amco Andina, Spa. , Advanced Methods Centroamérica, S.A., Amco Perú, S.A.C., ADM 90 Educación Dominicana, S.R.L., Admethods Ecuador CIA, LTDA., Admethods Panamá, S.A., Amco Colombia, S.A.S., Create For Life, Inc., and Amco Métodos Avançados De Ensino Ltda.

Amco may share any personal information outside of its companies, affiliates, or subsidiaries in Mexico and abroad when required by any authority, as well as to detect, prevent, and resolve technical problems, fraud, or security breaches that could jeopardize the information of Amco, its affiliates, and Users.

Finally, if Amco or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries participates in a merger, acquisition, or change of corporate control, Amco will continue to guarantee the protection and confidentiality of Users' personal information and will notify them before their personal information is transferred and may be subject to a different privacy policy.

ARCO Rights.

It is important to inform you that you have the right to access, rectify, and cancel your personal data, as well as to oppose the processing thereof and revoke any consent previously granted; these rights are known as ARCO rights. To find out the procedures, requirements, and deadlines for exercising any of the ARCO rights, you must submit your request in accordance with the terms established by law to Amco's Personal Data Protection Department.

You may revoke any consent you may have given us for the processing of your personal data. However, it is important to note that we may not be able to comply with your request or terminate use immediately in all cases, as we may be required by law to continue processing your personal data. You should also bear in mind that, for certain purposes, revoking your consent means that we will no longer be able to provide the service you requested or that your relationship with us will be terminated. To find out the procedures, requirements, and deadlines for revoking consent for the processing of your personal data, you must submit your request in accordance with the terms established by law to Amco's Personal Data Protection Department.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The GDPR is a regulation that protects all personal data of individuals used in the European Union, including full name, address, email, date and place of birth, card number, and any other data that reveals your identity.

Through this policy, we inform you of the conditions and clauses in the simplest and clearest way possible regarding the use that AMCO will make of your personal data. AMCO will notify you when the security of your personal data has been breached. To prevent this, AMCO has implemented antivirus software, firewalls, encryption systems, and identification tools that it considers necessary and sufficient to ensure the protection of your personal data.

Finally, we inform you that for Users who, due to their personal circumstances, are subject to GDPR regulations, their information will be stored on servers located in the European Union.

How can you delete your account and associated data?

Users may request the deletion of their account and associated data found in the accounts of the services provided by Amco Educación S.A.P.I. de C.V. or its subsidiaries.

To revoke consent for the use of your personal data and/or delete your account, Users must send their request via email to datospersonales@amco. indicating in the subject line “REVOCATION OF PERSONAL DATA” or “DELETE ACCOUNT” as applicable. The email must specify the User's name, the action they wish to take, their CURP, and the email address registered with Amco's Personal Data Department.

If the request has any correctable errors or is incomplete, it will be returned to the User by sending an email indicating the missing information to the email address provided in the initial request, so that the errors can be corrected or the request completed within 10 business days. If this period elapses without the corrections being received, Amco may file the request without prior policy to the user.

If the formalities required for the procedure have been complied with, Amco will respond within a maximum period of 20 business days from the date on which your request was received or from the date on which the errors indicated have been fully corrected.

Once the account has been deleted, no member of the Amco Educación S.A.P.I. de C.V. team or its affiliates will be able to recover the account data, including information related to the first name, last name, email address, CURP, phone number, username, and/or any data related to the applications.

Use of tracking technologies on our website.

We inform you that we use cookies, web beacons, or other technologies on our website to monitor your behavior as an internet user and to provide you with a better service and experience when browsing our website.

The personal data that we may obtain from these tracking technologies are as follows: identifiers, region where the user is located, type of browser and operating system, date and time of the user's session start and end; which, where appropriate, may be used to identify you, save your personal preferences to provide you with a better browsing experience, and for statistical purposes.

Changes to the Privacy Policy.
